AUSTIN ---Chris Robinson on Alabama dominated the back half of the race and powered his way to victory in the 400m hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Robinson's time of 48.12 seconds lowered his personal best of 48.36, broke the stadium record of 48.44 set in 2015 by Michael Stifler of Kansas and established a new collegiate leader.
"I mean, getting out in the race, I felt pretty good," Robinson said. "I got out of rhythm on hurdle three, I stood up a little bit, but I was able to get back into my rhythm. When I got to 200m, I said, 'Ok, I'm feeling good. Time to kick it in and bring it home."
