
Tara Davis opened up the first round of the women's long jump on Saturday at the World Championships with a leading mark of 6.87 meters.
That jump qualified her for the finals on Sunday.
Commenting on her first senior World Championships appearance, Davis said she's going to embrace the moment and let things come to her. The women's long jump final will take place over the evening session on Sunday at 4:55 p.m. CET (Central European Time).
