Rianne Murphy, fresh from the U17 World Championships,  will wrestle 16U Fargo champ Madison Nieuwenhuis at Who's Number One. 

Murphy and Niuewenhuis make their way to Kenosha, Wisconsin for this year's prestigious event high up in the rankings. Murphy, from Crown Point High School in northwest Indiana, and Niuewenhuis, from Plainwell High School in western Michigan, will not have to travel far for this midwestern showdown. 

Both wrestlers also have stop signs from Fargo, with Murphy winning the 2022 16U National Championship at 100 lbs and Niuewenhuis winning the same title one year later.

Murphy followed up her Fargo title with a runner-up finish at 2022's Super 32. She then went on to win the 2023 U17 46kg world team trials in April and represented the United States of America in Istanbul, Turkey at the U17 World Championships in August. 

Nieuwenhuis has been on a roll herself. Madison has peeled off podium topping performances at 2022 Preseason Nationals, 16U Central Regions and Junior Central Regions before earning a stop sign in Fargo. She also went on 24-7 wrestling boys during the Michigan high school season. 

Murphy and Niuewenhuis have wrestled before, in the 2022 Super 32, where Murphy defeated Niuewenhuis in the quarterfinals. Niuwenhuis has been doing a lot of winning since then. Will she be able to jump levels and win the rematch against a world teamer? We'll find out in Kenosha!
