The Penn State Wrestling season begins on Nov. 12 as FloWrestling's preseason No.1-ranked team  begins a quest for another national championship. 

The Nittany Lions won the NCAA National Championship in the spring of 2023 for the 10th time since 2011 and with another loaded roster, they eye an 11th and 13th overall team title.

All-Americans Aaron Nagao and Bernie Truax are transferring into the program to help PSU withstand the loss of two-time national champion Roman Bravo-Young and four-time All-American Max Dean. 

Penn State also returns Carter Starocci, the No.1 pound-for-pound wrestler in the FloWrestling rankings. Aaron Brooks (No.4), Greg Kerkvliet (No.8), Levi Haines (No. 16) and Truax (No.20) are also in the top-20. 

Penn State’s first action will come on Nov. 12 at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic in Bethlehem, Pa. That meet will be streaming on FloWrestling and the FloSports app. The squad will compete at three meets in November. 

The Nittany Lions begin Big Ten competition on Jan. 14 against Indiana. The wrestling world will have all eyes on Iowa City, Iowa when the Hawkeyes and the Nittany Lions face off in a dual meet on Feb. 9. 

From March 9-10, defending Big Ten Tournament champion Penn State will aim for its eighth Big Ten Tournament title under coach Cael Sanderson.

When Is the 2024 Big Ten Wrestling Tournament? 

The Big Ten Wrestling Tournament is March 9-10 at the XFINITY Center in College Park, Md. 

Last year’s Big Ten Tournament was at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

This is the first time Maryland has hosted the tournament. 

When is the 2024 NCAA Wrestling Tournament?

The NCAA Wrestling Championships are March 21- 23 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo.
