North Carolina State Wrestling looks to keep its program momentum going after the Wolfpack finished 10th at the NCAA Tournament, won the ACC Tournament and went 14-1 in dual meets last season. 

The No. 7-ranked team in the FloWrestling 2023-2024 preseason rankings return three All-Americans as the Wolfpack look to best the 2018 team’s fourth-place finish at the NCAA Tournament. 

To do it, the Wolfpack will need to navigate a tough schedule that includes trips to both the Journeyman Wranglemania and the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, both of which will stream live on FloWrestling and the FloSports app. 

Throw in trips to the Armbar at the Armory and The Collegiate Wrestling Duals as well as an overseas tour to face Oklahoma State in Italy and N.C. State has its work cut out for them before the new year. 

Good thing the team returns one of the best wrestlers in the country in Trent Hidlay, who is the No. 10-ranked Pound-for-Pound wrestler on FloWrestling’s preseason rankings. Hindlay wrestled at 184-pounds last season and was an All-American. But he moved to 197-pounds this season, and is ranked No.5 in his weight class.  

Kai Orine and Ed Scott are two more returning All-Americans for the Wolfpack.

When is the 2024 ACC Wrestling Tournament? 

The ACC Championship is March 10 in Chapel Hill, N.C. North Carolina State won the ACC Championship in 2023 with Virginia Tech finishing second.  

When is the 2024 NCAA Wrestling Tournament?

The NCAA Wrestling Championships are March 21- 23 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo.
