McKendree's Cam Guerin Dominates Missouri Baptist Open
Cam Guerin, a three-time NCWWC champion for McKendree, pinned her way through the Missouri Baptist Open on Saturday.
If there is one word to describe McKendree's Cam Guerin it's this: clutch.
Guerin wrestles her best late in the season, and this year is no exception. There's a reason she won 130-pound NCWWC (NCAA) titles in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
The Bearcat star might take a loss or two, but she always steps up when it counts.
Her recent run through the 130-pound bracket at the Missouri Baptist Open is a reflection of what Guerin can do, and why she's still a favorite to win her fourth national title. She pinned all four of her opponents in the first period, including a fall over teammate Sophia Mirabella, an All-American for King in 2021, and Lindenwood's Cayden Condit, an All-American in 2022.
Guerin joined teammates Julia Vidallon (116), Nichole Moore (123), Alexandra Szkotnicki (136), and Viktorya Torres (143) on top of the podium.
