Toby Keith, Oklahoma Softball Had Special Bond After 2023 NCAA Softball Win
University of Oklahoma super fan Toby Keith didn't let his battle with cancer stop him from celebrating with the OU Softball NCAA championship in 2023.
Toby Keith loved his Oklahoma Sooners, and that was evident in June of 2023 when he joined the Oklahoma Softball team in celebrating their third national championship in a row.
Keith partied with the Sooners following their seventh overall national championship, belting out his hit song “How Do You Like Me Now.”
The University of Oklahoma superfan and country music star Keith died on Feb. 5 due to cancer.
He celebrated that win in June despite being in the thick of his battle and hosted the team at his Oklahoma City restaurant.
The Sooners softball team begins the 2024 season on Thursday at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.
