Texas Tech baseball finds itself on the edge of the top-25 with a No. 22 ranking in the preseason polls. The Red Raiders have a good chance to move up with a showdown with No. 8 Tennessee on the opening night of the College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field on Feb. 16.

Led by two of the nation’s best players in Kevin Bazzell and Gavin Kash, the Red Raiders join Baylor and Oklahoma as Big 12 representatives for the first weekend of the three-weekend event.

Tech will face Nebraska of the Big Ten on Feb. 17 and reigning Pac-12 Tournament champion Oregon on the final day of the opening weekend on Feb. 18.

The College Baseball Showdown is Feb. 16-18, Feb. 23-25 and March 1-3 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

The first weekend of competition at the Shriners Children's College Showdown is Feb. 16-18 at Globe Life Field. It is streaming on FloBaseball and the FloSports app.
