Drexel fifth-year Corinne Bednarik, Delaware graduate student Madison Hranicka, and Hofstra redshirt freshman Nikki Mennella are the winners of the CAA Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards presented by Primis for the week ending March 31.

CAA WOMEN'S LAX  PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Corinne Bednarik, Drexel

Fifth Year | Attack/Midfield | Glenmoore, Pa. / Downingtown West

Bednarik tallied 14 points and 19 draw controls in a 2-0 week for Drexel with wins over VCU and Elon. The fifth year from Pennsylvania totaled five goals, three assists, and nine draws in Drexel’s 15-6 win in Richmond on Wednesday before collecting four goals, two assists, and 10 draws at Elon on Saturday. Bednarik is fourth in the nation with 5.64 points per game in 2024 and is Player of the Week for the third time this season.

CAA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Madison Hranicka, Delaware

Graduate Student | Defense | Mendham, N.J. / West Morris Mendham

Hranicka became Delaware’s all-time leader in caused turnovers in Saturday’s win at William & Mary while continuing her reign as the nation’s top player in the category. The graduate student from New Jersey had six caused turnovers and six ground balls, as she continues to lead the nation in both categories (4.36 CT/game; 4.73 GB/game). Hranicka is Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time in 2024.

CAA ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Nikki Mennella, Hofstra

Redshirt Freshman | Attack | Smithtown, N.Y. / Smithtown West

Mennella returned from a four-game absence to help Hofstra to its first 4-0 start in CAA play since 2015. The redshirt freshman from Long Island had three goals, two assists, one ground ball, and one caused turnover in a 15-8 win at Towson. Mennella has multiple goals in all 13 contests to begin her collegiate career; she is Rookie of the Week for the second time this spring.
