Kurt McHenry released his top five schools in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

The two-time Cadet world champion has narrowed his recruitment down to the following schools.

Kurt McHenry's Schools List

  • North Carolina
  • Penn State
  • Stanford
  • Michigan
  • Cornell

Originally from Virginia, McHenry is a three-time Maryland private school state champ for St. Paul's in Brooklandville, MD. He has a host of accolades, including being a Powerade champion, Beast of the East champ, National Prep finalist, and Fargo All-American.

We know he has already taken an unofficial visit to Penn State and that his former coach, Cory Cooperman, is now with the New York RTC at Cornell.

North Carolina has already received verbals from senior Joey Melendez and juniors Eric Barnett and Gabriel Tagg, so one of them may need to reconsider their school choice if McHenry lands in Chapel Hill, NC.

McHenry is at or near the top of several of our rankings: the #1 125lb prospect, #1 on the junior Big Board, and #2 at 113 pounds.
