It started off looking like just another day at the office for Jordan Decatur. Then it ended with the red button flashing, but he took another stop sign back to Ohio.
Five straight technical falls took the former Cadet world teamer to the semis at Fargo, where Jackson Henson was waiting to give him that smoke. In a back-and-forth battle in which each guy held the lead at some point, Decatur, who received his second caution with 49 seconds left in the first period, narrowly got the win to make it to the finals.
But it didn’t stop there. If Decatur’s energy tank wasn’t empty after that match, Ridge Lovett was going to make sure that it was in the finals. The Ohio state champ had more of a buffer in this win as he seemed to be one step ahead of Lovett, but it took everything he had to get it done.
Check out Decatur’s road to picking up another Fargo title that ultimately earned him another invite to Who’s #1 on October 7.
