Tulsa Elite Invite: Texas Glory Naudin 16U String Hits For Lead
Texas Glory Naudin 16U offense chips away for the four-run lead against Tulsa Elite OKC Wells.
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- After the opening day of the Tulsa Elite Invite was interrupted by weather delays, it looked like the tournament had finally found some good luck on day two. With games not starting until 5 p.m., tournament officials were optimistic they could get the event back on schedule.
But that optimism quickly changed when a new round of thunderstorms descended upon the Broken Arrow area Friday evening. All games scheduled for the night were canceled.
Tournament officials will not know until Saturday morning what the new weekend schedule will look like. But with only two days left there will definitely be some long nights ahead.
Before Friday’s games were canceled, several of the top teams at the tournament were in action on the four fields that were available for use. Somewhere between 30 to 40 college coaches were on hand as well to evaluate uncommitted talent in the 16U and 14U divisions.
One of the games in the 16U division that featured some impressive prospects was Tulsa Elite OKC Wells against Texas Glory Naudin 16U.
Texas Glory jumped on the scoreboard first. Facing left-hander Lillie Walker, Sydney Lewis (2022) cracked an RBI single into centerfield to give the Glory a 1-0 advantage in the first inning.

Tulsa Elite attempted to close in on the deficit in the bottom of the inning when Hailey Evans collected her own RBI when she knocked in Camaryn Alexander off of Karsyn Iltis (2021).
However, Iltis came back and put the Glory up 3-1 with a lofting flyball that dropped in front of the diving Valerie Inghram.
The Glory began to get to Walker in the third inning. With two runners on, Lewis collected another RBI with a liner into left. Tulsa Elite trailed 4-1.
In the fourth inning, Toria Bradley picked up her second RBI with a line drive into right field.
Walker continued to battle for Tulsa Elite on the mound. However, the balanced attack of Naudin was too much for the Elite to slow down. Texas Glory led 5-1 in the fifth inning before the game was called due to weather.
