Event: College Women’s Distance Medley Relay Championship Of America

Time: Friday, 1:45 PM

What To Watch: The first of three distance relays featuring the BYU women. If they run their “A” squad in the distance medley relay, they will be difficult to beat. The combination of Courtney Wayment (NCAA indoor champion in the 5000m, 3000m and DMR), Claire Seymour (second in the 800m at NCAA indoors) and Lauren Ellsworth (DMR champion and 2:01 800m runner) is a tough match for any of the opposing teams. Ole Miss and Virginia both have the potential to be in the mix when it comes time for the anchor leg and have strong closers in Sintayehu Vista (Ole Miss) and Mia Barnett (Virginia).

Event: College Men’s Distance Medley Relay Championship Of America

Time: Friday, 2:00 PM

What To Watch: Ole Miss is the favorite and has plenty of depth across the 800m and 1500m. The team is led by NCAA indoor mile champion Mario Garcia Romo. John Rivera placed third indoors in the 800m and Baylor Franklin can run 1:47 in the 800m. Wisconsin, Indiana, Arkansas, Villanova and Georgetown are all capable of a big performance.

Event: Olympic Development Men’s 4 x Mile Elite

Time: Friday, 8:40 PM

What To Watch: The only professional relay of the meet features the On Athletic Club targeting the fastest time in history at the event. The current mark is held by an Irish team that ran 15:49. Most recently, a squad featuring Cooper Teare and Cole Hocker just ran 15:52. The On team will be led by 3:50 miler Oliver Hoare and 10,000m Olympian Joe Klecker. But the attempt might ultimately come down to how fast the other two men on the team can run, Ben Flanagan and Tom Elmers. Dublin Track Club looks like the most likely to give OAC a push.

Event: College Women’s 4x1500m Championship Of America

Time: Saturday, 12:30 PM

What To Watch: This has the potential to be the best event of the meet with three distance running powerhouses set to square off in BYU, NC State and Arkansas. BYU will run all three distance relays, while NC State and Arkansas are just running the 4x1500m. The three teams have won the past three cross country titles and Arkansas and BYU have won the last two national titles in the distance medley relay. Final line-ups are not set, but a potential anchor leg between BYU’s Courtney Wayment, NC State’s Katelyn Tuohy and Arkansas’ Lauren Gregory would feature three of the absolute best in the NCAA. There’s also a chance at history. All three teams have the runners necessary to run quicker than the NCAA, and Penn Relays, record of 17:08.34 currently held by Tennessee.

Event: College Women’s 4x100m Championship Of America

Time: Saturday, 1:00 PM

What To Watch: Ohio State with Anavia Battle are one of the best teams in the nation and are the favorites in this field. South Carolina should give them the best race. The two teams raced against each just two weeks ago in South Carolina. Ohio State ran 43.17 in that race to beat the Gamecocks who turned in a 43.36.

Event: College Men’s 4x100m Championship Of America

Time: Saturday, 1:05 PM

What To Watch: We haven’t seen the trademark Houston 4x100m performance yet, but perhaps that comes at this meet. The Cougars have an experienced star in Shaun Maswanganyi who is more than capable than turning in a good leg. Ohio State, Clemson, Princeton, South Carolina, Auburn, Arkansas and G.C. Foster are all within striking distance of Houston.

Event: College Men’s 4xMile Championship Of America

Time: Saturday, 1:10 PM

What To Watch: This is one of the most difficult events to predict with several teams in the mix. Texas won the distance medley relay at the NCAA Indoor Championships and has depth to spare in the mid-distance. Wisconsin has looked good this season, while Georgetown has two of the nation’s best milers. Throw in Villanova, North Carolina, Virginia and Indiana and this is wide open.

Event: College Women’s 4x800 Championship Of America

Time: Saturday, 2:47 PM

What To Watch: If every team runs their best runners, then BYU has the edge. But this will be the third relay for the Cougars so there’s a good chance that they won’t have the four fastest on every relay. Still, they might be good enough to pull it off. The race also includes Indiana, Penn State, Villanova, Ohio State and Virginia.

Event: College Men’s 4x800 Championship Of America

Time: Saturday, 3:02 PM

What To Watch: The Ole Miss men will be on their second relay of the meet so they will be a bit fresher and they have enough depth to mix and match at Penn. Georgetown, Arkansas and Penn State look best positioned to capitalize if Ole Miss stumbles.

Event: College Women’s 4x400 Championship Of America

Time: Saturday, 3:02 PM

What To Watch: South Carolina is always a force in this event and they are the favorites for Saturday. They have run 3:27.86 this year, fifth best in the NCAA. Ohio State might be the only team capable of keeping it close.

Event: College Men’s 4x400 Championship Of America

Time: Saturday, 3:02 PM

What To Watch: Arkansas is capable of running a quick time, but has yet to do it this season. Ohio State’s 3:02.52 is tops in the field.
