The Colonial Athletic Association has announced the men’s basketball conference schedule for the 2022-23 season.

Teams will play an 18-game conference schedule against all 12 league foes that features six repeat opponents, three home-only opponents and three away-only opponents, marking the first time since 2012-13 that the league has not played a full double round-robin schedule. In total, each team will play nine home games and nine road games. 

Conference play will begin with one game on Wednesday, December 28, as CAA newcomer Monmouth hosts 2022 Championship finalist UNCW. Eight more teams – CAA Champion Delaware, new members Hampton and North Carolina A&T, along with Charleston, Drexel, Elon, Hofstra, and Northeastern – will begin league play the following day. Stony Brook, Towson, and William & Mary tip off their conference schedules as part of a six-game New Year’s Eve slate.

League games will be played on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays throughout January and February with the addition of a five-game schedule on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and six contests on Monday, February 13.

The league accommodated regional rivalries with input from the institutions throughout the process for the selection of repeat opponents, which were announced in July. All conference games will be available nationally on either FloHoops or CBS Sports Network with some contests on various regional sports networks on the East Coast. Television information and game times will be announced at a later date.

All 13 teams will qualify for the 2023 CAA Men’s Basketball Championship to be played March 3-7 at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C.
