#2 Nasir Bailey Has Made His College Commitment
Former UNC commit Nasir Bailey has now announced his new future college home!
Nasir Bailey, the second-ranked 138-pounder in the country, has announced his college plans. The Fargo, Ironman, and Illinois state champ will be heading south to join Neil Erisman and company at Little Rock. Bailey announced his decision on Instagram.
Bailey, who will compete in Who's Number One next month, was originally committed to North Carolina but recently decided to open up his college search. Now, he's one of the biggest recruits in Little Rock's program history.
Coach Erisman is no stranger to recruiting success. His 2022 class is ranked 20th in the country and includes three big boarders and a handful of other high-level commits. That crop includes Missouri product Kyle Dutton, the Oustanding Wrestler in Fargo last month. Bailey's commitment marks continued success for the young Trojan program whose NCAA success seems immanent.
Bailey has been a solid prospect throughout his high school career but had an especially productive Junior season. He followed up a Fargo title in a loaded 132-pound bracket with tournament victories at the Grappler Fall Classic, Ironman, and the Illinois State Championships, defeating several ranked wrestlers along the way. His Who's Number One matchup with Ryder Block is one of the highest-anticipated rematches of the event.
