
The South Atlantic Conference announced its Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the seventh week of the 2022 season.
Lenoir-Rhyne forward Elin Hansson was named the SAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Tusculum goalkeeper Grayson Patterson was named SAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Hansson, a freshman from Halmstad, Sweden, was the offensive leader for the Bears last week with two goals and three assists for seven points. She scored a goal, including the game-winner, plus two assists, in a 7-0 win over Emory & Henry.
She then scored a goal and had an assist in a 2-1 win over Carson-Newman.
Patterson, a junior from Maryville, Tennessee, made 19 saves in two matches and led the Pioneers to a 2-2 draw against Anderson and a 0-0 draw against Limestone.
She made eight saves against Anderson and made 11 saves in a shutout of Limestone.
