Lenoir-Rhyne head coach Dean Ward was voted as the SAC Coach of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday.

Hansson, from Halmstad, Sweden, led the Bears to the 2022 SAC Women’s Soccer regular-season title.

She scored 10 goals and had five assists on the year for 25 points. She is ranked third in the league in goals and points, is eighth in the conference in assists and leads the league in game-winning goals with four. She was named SAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week three times this season.

Beck, a junior from Clermont, Florida, earns her fourth consecutive SAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Year honor. She anchored a Catawba Indian defense that surrendered just nine goals during the season and had a goals-against average of 0.47.

In addition to her defensive prowess, Beck netted three goals and had two assists for eight points. She was named SAC Defensive Player of the Week once during the season.

Ward led the nationally ranked No. 16 Bears to a 11-2-3 record during the regular season, going 9-0-2 in conference play. Under his leadership, Lenoir-Rhyne won the regular-season championship ranking in the top 3 in the league in goals (34), assists (31) and goals-against (12).

Joining Hasson and Beck on the All-SAC first team were forwards Hannah Dunn and Helen Summerell of Catawba and Nellie Bryneus of Carson-Newman.

The first-team midfielders were Sydney Jimmo and Kasey Hahn of Catawba, Caroline Peters of Wingate and Ria Acton of Lenoir-Rhyne.
