Petriashvili Leads Star-Studded Georgia World Cup Lineup
With three World champions and two other 2022 World medalists, Georgia is bringing a loaded squad to Coralville for next month's World Cup.
Georgia is bringing a star-studded lineup to Iowa for next month’s World Cup.
Led by three-time World heavyweight champion Geno Petriashvili and World champions Beka Lomtadze and Zurabi Iakobishvili, the Georgians feature five Senior-level World medalists. Petriashvili is the most-decorated of the bunch. He’s a nine-time World and Olympic medalist who won World titles in three consecutive years beginning in 2017.
The Georgia roster also includes 2022 World medalists Miriani Maisuradze and Givi Matcharashvili.
