There's no bigger event on the opening weekend of NCAA wrestling than the Michigan State Open. With double-digit D1 teams, we're sure to see incredible matches and rankings shakeups. This will also be our first look at a number of high-powered true freshmen against college competition. Check out the full MSU Open field below with ranked wrestlers at the top of each weight.

Dresden Simon is a pretty big favorite on paper, but #24 Gabe Willochell is also in the mix. Don't count out Cole Matten, Dylan D'Emilio, or Anthony Echemendia either. Lawrence Saenz made massive strides in the offseason. His U23 Trials victories over Allan Hart and Chad Red may have this field nervous. Keep an eye on true freshman Chance Lamer here as well. His run to the Junior World Team Trials finals was quite impressive this spring.
