A native Iowan, Doug Schwab is the head wrestling coach at the University of Northen Iowa. Schwab has been at the helm of the Panther program since 2011 and recently signed a contract extension through the 2027-28 season.

Northern Iowa coach Doug Schwab returns seven national qualifiers from last year's team, including two-time place winner Parker Keckeisen. Schwab breaks down the entire line-up and looks ahead to where the program will compete for the 2022-23 season. The team normally competes at the historic West Gym but structural issues meant the team could not compete in front of a capacity crowd. Schwab also explores the possibility of adding a women's program and his brother Mark's induction into the Northern Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame.
