The best college wrestling rivalry gets one more season and possibly three more rounds. NCAA champions Keegan O’Toole (Missouri) and David Carr (Iowa State) seem destined to reach the 2024 NCAA tournament finals following a thrilling three-match series over the span of a month in 2023.

The Big 12 Wrestling Championships take place in Tulsa, Oklahoma March 4-5. Not only will team and individual conference champions be crowned, but 64 wrestlers will also automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships which will be held in Tulsa two weeks later.

The last FULL weekend of duals (there are still 2 duals next week). No time to hold back, we’re going full throttle, full bore, and full swing. What can I say, when it comes to wrestling, I’m quite fulsome!

#1 Keegan O'Toole, the 2022 NCAA wrestling 165lb champ, took on #2 David Carr of Iowa State, in Columbia, Missouri on Wednesday Evening of Feb 15.

#1 vs #2. 12-0 vs 18-0. NCAA champ vs NCAA champ. Junior World champ vs Junior World champ. Hodge finalist vs Hodge finalist. Top-five recruit vs top-five recruit. It doesn’t get any bigger or better than Keegan O’Toole vs David Carr. The two will face off Wednesday night at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Missouri in the biggest regular season match of the year.

It's the last big week of the NCAA season, and it should be a great one! We'll start off with the most anticipated match of the year between NCAA champions David Carr and Keegan O'Toole during an incredible Iowa State vs Missouri dual, we'll see Cornell vs Ohio State on Saturday, and we'll wrap up with a legacy dual between Oklahoma State and Iowa on Sunday.

Iowa State is making the 100 mile trek northeast on Friday evening to take on the UNI Panthers in the McLeod Center. With the increased level of both programs, this has become one of my favorite duals every year. This year will be no different.

We only have a few weeks of dual meets left on the NCAA calendar, so let's enjoy it while it lasts! This week we'll have a whole bunch more ranked matchups and plenty of great action to look forward to.
