A native of Kirtland, Ohio, Andonian was a two time state champion and four time placewinner in Ohio for St. Edward's high school. Andonian was a two time placewinner at the Walsh Ironman and won a Fargo junior national freestyle title at 145 pounds. Andonian was ranked fourth in the nation at 145 pounds and 20th on the class of 2019 big board. As a true freshman, Andonian put together a 17-6 season at 149 pounds for the Virginia Tech Hokies.
