The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series enters a brave new world when it kicks off the 2023 season Thursday at Golden Isles Speedway near Brunswick, Georgia. A new year will bring both new and familiar faces to the series this season.

They are joined by Elk Grove, CA's Kyle Larson, again paired with the potent Kevin Rumley #6 Longhorn, and World of Outlaws points leader Brandon Sheppard aboard his family owned #b5 Rocket. National stars Tyler Erb and Ricky Thornton Jr., along with Brownstown standout Devin Gilpin and many more will also be in action.

The Valvoline Iron-Man Northern Series kicks off its season Sunday for the 'Return to West Virginia Motor Speedway' with a 30-lap, $8,000-to-win event. Another stacked field is expected to tackle the revamped facility that has sat dormant for eight seasons. Donnie Moran was victorious at one of the last Late Model special events held at the track before it near, decade-long hiatus. His son Devin Moran, Jonathan Davenport, Brandon Overton, and Tyler Erb are among the expected entries. Promoter and general manager Cody Watson has spent the better part of the last year restoring the track to its original 5/8-mile configuration.
