FloWrestling recently released its Atlantic Coast Conference rankings and a quick glance shows how tight the team race will be at the ACC Championships on March 5 in Raleigh. It appears to be a two-team sprint to the finish with North Carolina State and Virginia Tech vying for the crown.

NCAA wrestling action keeps heating up. After back-to-back weekends with more than 50 upsets, week three sets the table for even more potential chaos than we've already seen. The 2022 Southeast Open will kick off the college wrestling season on November 5 in Salem, Virginia. There will be a number of top division 1 teams in attendance and numerous storylines to follow as the tournament unfolds. Check out a breakdown below of some of the most interesting things to watch for at the Southeast Open.

The 2022 World Team Trials are set to go down in Coralville, Iowa May 21-22. This tournament will set the top two wrestlers at every weight who will wrestle-off for the world team spot in June at Final X. Seeds for the trials likely won't be released until a few days prior to the tournament, but because of its importance, we decided to predict what the top 7-8 seeds at each weight will look like. The US Open finally returns, and with it, a chance for the top senior level contenders to qualify for the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament in May, which determines who participates in Final X. Challenge Tournament seeds will also largely be determined by the results from the Open.

Nearly two-thirds of the starters in the ACC will be headed to Detroit. In other words, this conference has an extremely high concentration of talent, and every match will matter.

The Iowa Hawkeye's holiday tournament saga final turn will land them in Chattanooga, Tennessee, at the 2022 Southern Scuffle. With the cancelation of the Midlands Championships and then the cancelation of the Hawkeye Open, the Hawks needed somewhere to get their nonstarters matches and the Scuffle accepted them in.

The Southern Scuffle is always an exciting way to kickoff the start of the year and it will all start with the lightweights. With 20 ranked wrestlers in the bottom three weights alone, Southern Scuffle will be must watch TV for all college wrestling fans.
