The high school wrestling season is winding down and most of the top high school senior girls have made their college decisions. Below is a list of the 11 prep seniors in the pound-for-pound top 25 high school rankings and the status of their college decisions.

The reigning three-time national collegiate champions just keep rolling. McKendree University has already signed Shelby Moore (#2 P4P), Destiny Rodriguez (#3 P4P), and Alex Szkotnicki (#11 P4P).

Clear your calendar. The biggest and toughest women’s college wrestling tournament of the year is November 18-19.

McKendree University just added another piece to its already deep and talented line-up. Shelby Moore, the #2 overall prep recruit in the country, announced on Instagram that she will join the Bearcats.

Three of four World Championships are complete following a historic performance by the U.S. women’s freestyle team in Belgrade, Serbia. The team finished second behind Japan and crowned three individual World champions and won seven total medals.

Kayla Miracle and Jennifer Rogers had quite a best-of-three series on August 13. Miracle — a 2021 World silver medalist — postponed her Final X match with Rogers due to an injury. The two met in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to determine the 62 kg spot in the upcoming Senior World Championships.

If you believe in fate, then this Who’s Number One match was destined to happen. Not only is this a rematch of the U17 National finals, but this bout also features double Fargo winners at 152 pounds each of the past two years.

Cadence Diduch and Everest Leydecker didn’t wrestle at 16U Nationals in Fargo but that will change when they meet at Who’s Number One in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on September 9.

Lizzie Shunn defeated Syndey Perry twice in the best-of-three finals at U17 Nationals, but Perry represented the United States at the World Championships in Rome. How is that possible?

Skylar Little Soldier has had quite a year. So has Shelby Moore. The two will meet for the third time this year after facing each other in the best-of-three series at U17 Nationals in May. Moore won two straight matches — 11-0 and 5-0 — over Little Solider to make the 57-kg U17 World team. Little Solider represented the United States at the Pan-American Championships and won a silver medal.

U.S. women placed fourth at the U17 World Championships (formerly known as Cadet Worlds) in Rome on the strength of three silver medalists. Erica Pastoriza (43 kg), Gabriella Gomez (46 kg), and Valerie Hamilton (61 kg) reached the finals and all three received invitations to FloWrestling’s Who’s Number One on September 9, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The American women are on the prowl for medals in the Eternal City. Gabriella Gomez and Valerie Hamilton are in the semis while Erica Pastoriza is in the gold medal match at 43 kilograms, and Shelby Moore, Sydney Perry, and Kaiulani Garcia are going for bronze at 57, 65 and 73 kilos.

ROME, Italy — US women began their second day of competition with the second of 10 weight classes. Gabriella Gomez (46 kg) and Valerie Hamilton (61 kg) reached the finals while Shelby Moore (57 kg), Sydney Perry (65 kg), and Kaiulani Garcia (73 kg) earned their way into bronze medal matches with repechage wins.

Erica Pastoriza won a World gold medal at last year's U17 championships, and she's on pace again. She won three straight bouts to punch her ticket to the World finals for the second straight year.
