Genevieve LaCaze looking for big race and A standard in steeple final at 2012 NCAA Outdoor Champs
Jun 6, 2012
For Aussie Genevieve Lacaze her career a Florida has been filled with some up and down seasons, but not in 2012. Between indoors and outdoors this year Lacaze has PRed in every event from 800 up to 5k. While times are coming, her most impressive accomplishment was winning the 1500, steeple and 5k at the SEC Championships where she became the first SEC woman to ever complete the successful triple. Now with one race left and only 4 days to get the Olympic A standard to make the Australian steeplechase team, Lacaze is hoping to save the best for last. She'll be looking to run a 12 second PB (9:43, the A standard) and push Shalaya Kipp for her first NCAA title.
