Three-time NCAA champion Yianni Diakomihalis closed out his final regular season for Cornell 12-1 and picked up an 8-3 win over Doug Zapf a couple of weeks ago to secure the #1 ranking in the EIWA. Yianni will be the favorite to win his fourth EIWA title and will be tested on his way to his fourth NCAA crown. Zapf has been very solid for Penn all season and picked up an 11-4 decision over Max Brignola to secure his #2 ranking, while Brignola looks to be the guy for Lehigh at 149 pounds and moved into the #3 ranking with his win over Trae McDaniel a couple of weeks ago. This conference weight class has shown a lot of movement throughout the season and don’t be surprised if that trend continues at the EIWA tournament.
